National Tree Day in Holdfast Bay

This National Tree Day,  1000 native coastal plants were planted at a new re-vegetation site at Chappell Drive in Holdfast Bay.

This small area, at the end of Chappell Drive in front of Holdfast Shores, was once very degraded, however, plants have been regenerating and there are signs of moss which indicates that this area is becoming healthier. Part of the area has been fenced and more fencing will soon be installed to increase the protected area and, hopefully, lead to more regeneration.
