Today, a group of 27 South Australian Climate Reality Leaders met in Gawler, North of Adelaide city, to network with each other and hear updates on the Climate Reality project in Australia. I was one of two Climate Reality Leaders from Holdfast Bay who attended this meeting.
The Climate Reality Project Australia is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to educate the public about the harmful effects of climate change and to work toward solutions at a grassroots level worldwide.
The project has more than 6,000 dedicated volunteers internationally known as Climate Leaders. We come from all walks of life – we are nurses, doctors, parents, business people, sports persons, musicians, grandparents, business people, priests and students. To date, Climate Leaders have delivered 70,000 presentations to a combined global audience totalling 7.3 million and 1 in 60 Australians have seen a TCRP presentation.
It wasn’t all work! We also enjoyed choosing our own pizza toppings…
… and cooking them in Ian’s impressive, homemade wood oven.
See Climate Reality Australia for more information about this project.
